How to sell Ayush (Ayurvedic, Unani and Siddha) Products in India?

Here we are going to talk about how you can do that if you want to sell Ayurvedic medicine in India. We talked a lot about:

But now comes the matter that if you want to sell Ayurvedic medicine, then in what way can you sell them.

First, let's discuss about some regulatory requirements. Regardless of the Ayurvedic medicine that is available, then we include the entire AYUSH sector. Let's talk about the entire Ayush sector (Ayurvedic, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy). But keeping homeopathic medicine on the side, because license is required for homeopathic medicine.

When it comes to manufacturing Ayurvedic medicine, Unani medicine, Siddha medicine, , it is regulated within the Drug and Cosmetic Act. The section of Ayurvedic Medicine is covered under this Act. Manufacturing of ayurvedic, siddha and unani medicine is regulated, so whenever we go to manufacture Ayurvedic, Unani, Siddha medicine, we need a license for it.

But when it comes to distribution, when it comes to sales, when it comes to marketing, when it comes to retail, we do not need any license for selling Ayurvedic, Unani, Siddha Medicine. Only when we go into manufacturing, we will need a license.

So we come to the point that if we want to sell Ayurvedic medicine, then how do we sell them?

How to sell Ayush products?

There are two ways in which we can sell Ayurvedic Medicine. When we talk about Ayurvedic medicine here, Unani medicine, Siddha medicine, both are covered, so whenever we talk about Ayurvedic medicine, Unani and Siddha medicines are included in it.

There are two ways you can sell:

Either you can sell it online or you can sell it offline.

First let's talk about online:

If you want to sell Ayurvedic medicine online then how can you sell? If you want to sell your Ayurvedic product online, then you need a GST number and PAN card.

If we talk about offline marketing. In offline marketing if you do not have GST number because it is related to turnover. If you have turnover above 40 lakhs, then GST number is compulsory. But if you have less then you can do without GST number.

But when it comes to online selling, it is compulsory to have a GST number because whenever you talk about business related GST number, if you are selling outside the state or selling online, the GST number becomes compulsory. If you go to sell online, then it becomes very important to get a GST number.

There are also two ways online, either you can sell your products through b2c portals which are already successful like Amazon or Flipkart ,health kart or 1mg or many websites or even online pharmacy etc.

The second way is that you can make your own website or app, then you can sell through it. If you are selling through the portal of others or you are selling through your website or app then you need to have basic knowledge of SEO knowledge.

Because you do not necessarily have knowledge of coding because website or app makes you any developer will do it. But when you go to sell it through your website or through your app, it will take a little more effort. Secondly, there are already a lot of traffic on the exit portals. They have quite a customer base, so selling through them is a little easier in the beginning if you work a little hard.

So what is the most important thing to you, the most important thing is that you have to have a little SEO knowledge. You need a bit of digital marketing because when you sell through other websites, then you should increase your visibility. When you sell through your app or website, how do you send organic traffic from search engines? How can you promote it in a paid way? You can promote it on search engines in different ways.

Apart from this, in digital marketing, how you can convert your customer through social networks. There are many ways in digital marketing like blogging which is an important part of content marketing tool. How will you use social channels?

Using their free tools, using their paid promotion. Through Facebook page or groups, YouTube channel, LinkedIn, Instagram, it is very important for all of us to have basic knowledge if you want to sell Ayurvedic products online.

The other one is discus about offline methods. If you want to sell offline you want to sell through traditional methods, then there are many ways.

If you want to sell your Ayurvedic product, you can do prescription marketing.

You can distribute your ayush products through the pharmacy, or other big brands franchisees or exclusive showrooms. The mall of Ayurvedic products, so you can promote your product on these.

You can offer Ayurvedic franchises. You can sell through Door to Door marketing. You can go into Direct Selling, MLN Company. They also mostly have Ayurvedic products nowadays.

So in that way you can sell your products, you can do tele-marketing. You can sell through your phone. Apart from this, there are yoga classes, parks etc. where there are things related to health. You can put your counter there, nowadays this concept is becoming quite famous. There, now outside the park, you will find different different thing in that counter i.e  wheat grass juice. Amla juice or Aloevera juice, neem ras etc. This is also a very good way.

Apart from this, you can open Ayurvedic medical store, you can open it at good place, prime location. Only specially you can open a good Ayurvedic counter and from there you can also sell your product or other company's product too.

Let's hope You will like this information!
