Is it drug license required to sell OTC drugs in India?

Query:
I read your blogs over OTC products. I want to know about if I start ecommerce website for OTC product Then any license required for selling products.
Please share the list of OTC product which is not required any license except GST.

Response:
OTC drugs doesn't mean we don't need a license to sell these products. We don't need a prescription to sell these but we need a drug license for all OTC products that fall under pharma.
There are no pharmaceutical products that can't be sold without a drug license. If a product falls under pharma then you will require a drug license to sell this whether it is prescription drug or OTC drug...
If you start ecommerce website for OTC product then you will require a drug license for selling these products. Only you will not require registered medical practitioner's prescription and without prescription, you can sell these.
Without license only at GST, you can sell ayurvedic and herbal product only....
